These terms cover the GreenOrb Statistics plugin and Pro licences. If you are engaging Green Orb Web Design for design or development work, the website terms and conditions apply to that instead.

These terms cover the purchase and use of a GreenOrb Statistics Pro licence. They are written to be read, not to be impenetrable. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you buy.
1. Who we are
GreenOrb Statistics is operated by Phillip Johnson, a sole trader trading as GreenOrb Statistics, based in the United Kingdom. You can reach us at [email protected].
In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean GreenOrb Statistics. “You” means the person or organisation buying or using a Pro licence.
2. Who you buy from
Purchases are handled by Freemius, Inc., which acts as the merchant of record and is the seller for your order. Freemius takes the payment, issues the invoice, and handles any VAT or sales tax that applies where you are.
Freemius publishes an End User License Agreement for GreenOrb Statistics that governs the sale itself. It applies alongside these terms, and where the two differ about the transaction, the EULA takes precedence.
We supply the software, the updates and the support.
3. The plugin is free software
GreenOrb Statistics — both the free version and Pro — is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later. Nothing in these terms restricts the rights the GPL gives you over the code.
What a Pro licence buys is access to the Pro build, automatic updates and support for the term of the licence. It is not permission to run the software — the GPL already gives you that.
4. What a Pro licence includes
- The Pro build of the plugin, for the number of sites covered by your plan: Personal (1 site), Business (5 sites), Developer (50 sites).
- Automatic updates for as long as the licence is active.
- Email support for as long as the licence is active.
A “site” means one WordPress installation. If you run WordPress Multisite, get in touch before you buy and we will tell you what your network needs.
5. Renewals and cancellation
Annual licences renew automatically each year at the price in force at the time of renewal. Freemius emails you before a renewal is taken. If we ever increase the renewal price, we will tell you in advance.
You can cancel at any time, from the customer portal linked in your Freemius order confirmation or by emailing us. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not end the term you have already paid for, which runs to its normal end date.
6. Lifetime licences
A lifetime licence covers updates and support for as long as we continue to sell and maintain GreenOrb Statistics Pro. It is a promise about the product’s lifetime, not a promise that the product will exist for ever. If we ever discontinue it, we will give reasonable notice and you keep the last version released.
7. If your licence lapses
Your data is yours and stays in your own database. The Pro features stop receiving updates and support ends, but nothing is deleted and the free features keep working.
8. Fair use of your licence key
Your licence key is for your own sites, or for sites you build and maintain for clients. Please don’t publish it, resell it, or use one key on more sites than your plan covers. We may deactivate a key that has been shared publicly.
9. Support
Support is provided by email to holders of an active Pro licence, for the duration of the licence term. We aim to answer within a few business days.
Users of the free version are very welcome on the WordPress.org support forum. We read it, but we can’t promise response times there.
10. What the software does, and what it doesn’t
GreenOrb Statistics stores analytics data in your own WordPress database, on your own server. We do not receive, host or process your visitors’ data.
You remain the data controller for everything the plugin records on your site, and you are responsible for your own privacy notice, consent handling and legal obligations. Installing GreenOrb Statistics does not by itself make a website compliant with any law. The plugin gives you tools — consent integration, Do Not Track support, IP handling, retention limits — but the decisions and the responsibility are yours.
11. No warranty
The software is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, and consistently with the GPL under which it is licensed, we give no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for any particular purpose. Please keep backups of your site, as you should with any software.
12. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to that, our total liability arising out of or in connection with your use of GreenOrb Statistics is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss or corruption of data, or business interruption.
13. Refunds
New purchases carry a 30-day money-back guarantee: if you are not satisfied for any reason, tell us within 30 days and we will refund you in full, no questions asked. Renewal payments cannot be refunded once taken, and upgrades or additional licences do not start a new 30-day period. The full terms, and how to avoid an unwanted renewal, are set out in our Refund Policy.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published here when you bought. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the courts of Scotland have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the law where you live.
