Refund Policy

Last updated: 14 August 2026

30 days, no questions asked

If GreenOrb Statistics Pro isn’t right for you, email [email protected] within 30 days of your purchase and we will refund it in full. You don’t have to explain why, and we won’t make you sit through a support ticket first.

This applies to first purchases of any plan — Personal, Business or Developer — and to both annual and lifetime licences. It isn’t a gesture we can quietly withdraw, either: the same 30-day, no-questions guarantee is written into the End User License Agreement published by Freemius, our merchant of record.

Though you shouldn’t need it

The free version is the whole analytics plugin, not a trial — no caps, no time limit, no nagging. You can run it on your real site for as long as you like and see exactly how it behaves with your traffic, your theme and your host before you spend anything. The guarantee is there for the cases that only show up after you upgrade.

How to ask for one

Email us from the address you bought with, or quote the order reference from your Freemius receipt. We approve the refund and Freemius returns the money to the card or account you paid with. Banks typically take five to ten business days to show it.

What the guarantee doesn’t cover

  • Renewal payments. The guarantee applies to your first purchase. Once a renewal has been taken it can’t be refunded — see below for how to avoid an unwanted one.
  • Upgrades and additional licences. Moving between plans, changing billing cycle, or buying extra site activations doesn’t start a new 30-day window — it belongs to your original purchase.

Renewals — how to avoid an unwanted one

Annual licences renew automatically. Freemius aims to email you a reminder around 30 days before the renewal date, but treat that as a courtesy rather than a guarantee — it can land in spam. If you’d rather not rely on it, put a note in your calendar.

You can cancel at any time from the customer portal linked in your order confirmation, or by emailing us. Cancelling stops the next charge and doesn’t cut short the term you’ve already paid for — your licence runs to the end of the period you bought.

Once a renewal payment has gone through it can’t be refunded, so cancel ahead of the date if you don’t want to continue. If one genuinely catches you out, get in touch anyway and we’ll do what we can — we just can’t promise it in advance.

What happens to your licence

When a refund is issued your licence is cancelled, and the Pro features switch off. The plugin files you downloaded remain yours under the GPL — we don’t reach into your site and remove anything, and we couldn’t honestly claim the right to — but they revert to free behaviour.

Your analytics data is in your own database and is untouched, as it is whenever a licence ends. Nothing is deleted, and everything the free version does carries on working.

Your statutory rights

This guarantee is offered in addition to your legal rights and does not affect them. Consumers in the UK and EU have a statutory right to cancel some digital purchases within 14 days; where you asked for immediate access to the download, that right may not apply — but our 30-day guarantee gives you longer than the statutory period in any case.
